SENEGAL (8 days tour)

DAY  01: SUNDAY, DEPARTURE- NEW YORK/DAKAR: Your destiny with Africa begins today as you board your transatlantic flight headed for the “exotic continent”. Depart on a wide-body jetliner from New York.  NOTE: For security reasons, check-In counter opens 5 hours before departure and closes 2 hours before take off. You are allowed to check-in 2 pieces of luggage free, each weighing 70lbs or less, and 1 carry-on WEIGHING 12lbs or less. Please remember your passports, and any visas required. We provide free visa service, however visa fees charged by Senegal embassy must accompany visa applications plus required recent passport photos and a valid passport. ADD ON FARES ARE AVAILABLE FROM MAJOR US CITIES.

DAY 2. MONDAY: DAKAR -: Arrival at Dakar International Airport late evening. Transfer to your hotel and check into your rooms. Retire and rest till morning. Overnight

DAY 3. TUESDAY: DAKAR/GOREE ISLAND-: Breakfast. Late morning Dakar city tour, including visits to its main squares, the Presidential Palace, University of Dakar and the handicraft markets for shopping. Early afternoon visit to the Goree Island; visit the slave castle, the dungeons and the “door of no return”. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight.

DAY 4. WEDNESDAY: DAKAR/SAINT LOUIS: Breakfast. Departure for Saint Louis. On our way, we shall visit the Pink Lake Retna and the nearby Fulani Village and also meet the salt harvesters. The Pink Lake is said to be so salty that you don’t need to know how to swim to keep afloat on the lake. After Lunch, we shall proceed to Saint Louis, stopping to visit a couple of Native villages on the way. Arrive and check into our hotel. Dinner. Overnight.

DAY  5. THURSDAY: ST. LOUIS-Breakfast at leisure. Late morning departure for Saint Louis City tour and shopping. Return to the hotel late afternoon. Early evening visit to the traditional village of Makhana where a typical Senegalese Welcome Feast will be organized in our honor with wrestling matches, songs and dances. Dinner. Overnight.

DAY  6. FRIDAY: ST. LOUIS/DAKAR Breakfast at leisure. Late morning departure for Dakar. On our way, we shall visit Thies, the second largest city in Senegal. Thies is famous for its huge market, collection of herbal medicines, African Stamped fabrics and above all its art tapestry factory. Tapestries woven in Thies hang in very important institutions in the world, such as the Vatican, the World Bank, Buckingham Palace and the United Nations. We continue our journey to Dakar; arriving early evening and proceed to our hotel. Farewell Dinner at a selected restaurant. Overnight.

DAY 7. SATURDAY, DAKAR/USA. Breakfast at leisure. Rest of the day is for rest & relaxation. Check-out of the hotel at 12noon. Transfer to the airport early evening for our flight to the US. Our flight departs late evening.

DAY 8. SUNDAY: USA . Arrive in New York early evening. Transfer to your domestic flight, if any. YOU ARE BACK HOME.  You’ve touched the face of mother Africa……you will never be the same again……keep dreaming about your next experience in the mother continent. We hope we have served you we
