(8 Days Tour)

DAY 1.   DEPARTURE: MONDAY:  WASHINGTON/BALTIMORE. Your destiny with Africa begins today as you board your transatlantic flight. Depart on a Wide-Body Jet Flight from Washington/Baltimore.  For security reasons check-In counter opens 5 hours before departure and closes 2 hours before take off. You are allowed to check-in 2 pieces of luggage free, each weighing 70lbs or less, and 1 carry-on WEIGHING 12lbs or less. Please remember your passports, and any visas required. We provide free visa service, however visa fees charged by Ethiopian Embassy must accompany visa applications plus required recent passport photos and a valid passport. ADD ON FARES ARE AVAILABLE FROM MAJOR US CITIES.

DAY 2.  TUESDAY, ADDIS ABABA-ETHIOPIA: Arrival in Addis Ababa late evening. Transfer to your Hotel for check-in.  Retire till morning. Prepare for next day trip to Bahar Dar.  Overnight.

Meals: Only Meals on Flight.

DAY 3.  WEDNESDAY, ADDIS ABABA/BAHAR DAR:

Early breakfast. Check-out of hotel. Transfer to Bole airport for check-in. Ethiopian Airlines flight ET-110 departs Addis Ababa 7:00am and arrives in Bahar Dar at 8:00am. Check into your hotel. After a short rest, we shall depart for a spectacular scenic drive to the magnificent Blue Nile Falls. After viewing the falls, we shall take a leisure walk through the rocky and steep paths to the local village to shop. Return to the hotel for lunch (not included). After lunch the rest of the day will be on a boat excursion to the historical monasteries at the Zeghle Peninsula. We shall pay a guided tour to Ura Kidane Meheret and the Betre Mariam, which are both elaborately decorated and accessible to both men and women. Return to the hotel. Welcome Dinner/Reception.

DAY 4.  THURSDAY, BAHAR DAR/LALIBELA

After breakfast and check out of the hotel, we transfer to the airport and fly to Lalibela on Ethiopian Airlines flight ET-103 which departs Bahar Dar at 9:00am and arrives in Lalibela at 11:30am. Transfer, on arrival to Roha Hotel for check-in. After lunch, (not included) we shall enjoy an afternoon visit to some of the eleven rock-hewn churches built by King Lalibela in the 12^th century, including the church of Saint George, which is the master-piece of the king. You will be overwhelmed with these awesome structures. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Prepare for next day trip to Axum. Overnight

DAY 5.  FRIDAY, - LALIBELA/AXUM

Breakfast and check out of your hotel . Transfer to the airport for your trip to Axum. Ethiopian Airlines flight ET 128 departs Lalibela at 09:50am and Arrives in Axum at 10:55am. Transfer to your hotel.. Afternoon tour of this ancient city which is regarded as the holiest center of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. We shall explore the city of Axum; visiting the famous obelisks, or monolithic stalae (one of the seven obelisks here is the largest monolith in the world). Later we shall visit the tomb of Ramha, a former King of Axum and from there to Axum,s church of saint Mary of Zion, where the Ark of Covenant was placed some 3000 years ago by Menelik I of Ethiopia, the son of King Solomon and Queen Sheba. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Prepare for next day trip to Addis Ababa. Overnight.

DAY 6.  SATURDAY. – AXUM/ADDIS ABABA: After breakfast, we shall check out of the hotel and transfer to Axum airport for our trip back to Addis Ababa. Arrive in Addis Ababa early afternoon. Rest of the day is for rest and relaxation. Dinner. Overnight.

DAY 7.  SUNDAY, - ADDIS ABABA/USA.

Breakfast and departure for Addis Ababa city tour. The name of the city Addis Ababa means a New Flower. The city is situated at an altitude of about 1.5 miles above sea level and is the third highest capital city in the world. Our city tour includes the National Museum with its numerous archeological lections, the ethnographic Museum which displays the cultural heritage of the many ethnic groups of Ethiopia, Mt. Entono for a Panasonic view of Addis Ababa. Return to the hotel.  Pick up your bags and transfer to the airport for your flight to the USA. Our flight departs in the evening.

DAY 8.  MONDAY, - USA.

Arrive in the US around noon. Transfer to your domestic flights, if any. YOU ARE BACK HOME.  You’ve touched the face of Africa……you will never be the same again……keep dreaming about your next experience in the mother continent. We hope we have served you well.

Supplement. NOTE: Prices may change to reflect increases in air-fare and/or departure taxes. Initial deposit of $250.00 is due 4 months before departure and the final payment due 45 days prior to departure. NOTE: Additional $46.00 is required for tips and gratuities on the trip.
